This week at the Paris Motor Show, manufacturers have unveiled their visions for the future. The event showcases vehicles ready for production, concept cars, and models that will soon be on the roads, with many new vehicles making their debut.

Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2024, the coupé-SUV features a more aerodynamic design.
Similar to the Q6 SUV e-tron, it is built on the PPE platform—short for Premium Platform Electric—developed alongside Porsche, which also supports the new electric Macan. The design has been reimagined from the A-pillar back, resulting in a Sportback that is 37mm lower than its SUV counterpart and boasts a sloping roofline reminiscent of the original Audi TT Coupé.
Like the Q6 SUV e-tron, it offers 83kWh and 100kWh battery options. The smaller battery supports a maximum charging speed of 225kW, while the 100kWh version can charge at up to 260kW. Thanks to its streamlined aesthetics, the Q6 Sportback e-tron stands out as the efficiency leader in the series, offering a range of up to 402 miles.
The specification lineup mirrors that of the Q6 SUV e-tron, consisting of Sport, S line, and Edition 1 trims. The SQ6 is exclusively available in Edition 1 format.
Sales in the UK are set to begin in November, with the first customer deliveries expected by April 2025.
The Sealion 7 is a mid-sized all-electric SUV that made its debut in China in 2023. It is poised to compete with the Tesla Model Y, when it lands in the UK in the coming months.
This model marks the first European version to utilize an upgraded e-Platform 3.0, referred to as e-Platform 3.0 EVO. In the UK, it will initially be available in a high-performance dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration, boasting a top speed of 134 mph and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 4.5 seconds.
Although BYD has yet to disclose official power specifications, a similar model sold in right-hand-drive Hong Kong features 523 bhp.
This version is also fitted with the largest 82.5 kWh ‘Blade’ battery, which is anticipated to be available in the UK, offering an impressive claimed range of 342 miles.
Additional variants, including a single-motor setup and various battery options, are expected to be added to the line-up shortly after the launch.
UK pricing and specifications are due to be announced soon, with deliveries of the Sealion 7 expected to arrive on UK soil before the end of the month.
The Renault Twingo E-Tech electric prototype show car is proudly displayed at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. This prototype revives the spirit of the original Twingo, which debuted in 1992, featuring an all-electric design tailored for urban driving without any compromises.
With its compact dimensions, the Twingo E-Tech electric prototype remains nimble in city environments, while its five-door configuration enhances practicality. The sleek shape boasts a fixed glass roof that floods the spacious interior with natural light, embodying Renault’s philosophy of creating "voitures à vivre" - Cars to live in.
This prototype marks the next chapter in a journey that started over 30 years ago and hints at the fourth-generation Twingo set to launch in 2026. Renault aim to maintain an entry-level price of under €20,000, (£16,700) aligning with the brand’s commitment to making electric mobility accessible to a broader audience.
The Renault 4 E-Tech 100% electric, drawing inspiration from the classic Renault 4, is built on the AmpR Small platform. It boasts enhanced ground clearance and a comfortable ride, along with improved steering for city driving.
This model is larger than the Renault 5 and shares 68% of its components, offering a spacious interior with a 420-litre boot and practical storage options.
There are two powertrain choices available, including efficient heat pumps and bidirectional charging capabilities.
The 52 kWh battery powers a 110 kW motor, allowing acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in under 8.5 seconds, with a range of up to 250 miles. It supports fast charging and includes a One Pedal function for smooth deceleration.
Specifications for the UK will be confirmed in early 2025.
Citroën has introduced the C5 Aircross Concept, strengthening its presence in the SUV market. Built on the new STLA-Medium platform, CEO - Thierry Koskas revealed at the Paris Motor Show that the larger battery option could offer an impressive range of 422 miles.
We won't have to wait long for the production version, as Citroën indicates that this concept "signals a model set for 2025."
While the production vehicle's exterior is anticipated to closely resemble the concept, details of the interior are still a mystery. The new C5 Aircross will seat five passengers and compete with models like the Peugeot 3008 and Vauxhall Grandland.
This concept is larger than its predecessor, showcasing a design that embodies Citroën's latest aesthetic, complete with a new badge and an innovative headlight signature.
Alpine A390_β

The A390_β Show Car is Alpine's first fully electric sport fastback, following the A290 (due in 2025) and paving the way for the upcoming electric A110.
It represents a shift to electric vehicles in Alpine's Dream Garage, indicating a larger size than the A290 and a focus on creating versatile everyday vehicles.
The "β" signifies it as a concept car, but it is 80% production-ready and expected to enter production by the end of 2025. Built on the Renault Group's Ampr Medium EV platform, it will compete with the BMW iX2 and Tesla Model Y.
XPeng P7+

The P7+ is an all-electric executive sedan aimed at competing with the Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, and BMW i4.
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, pre-sales for the XPeng P7+ commenced in China just four days later.
The P7+ is celebrated as the “world’s first AI car,” featuring cutting-edge AI technology integrated into its chassis, powertrain, driving system, and interior.
The XPeng P7+ is expected to join the brand's existing European lineup, but it has yet to be confirmed whether the P7+ will be available in the UK.
Renault R17 Electric Restomod Concept

Since 2021, Renault has launched various projects to revitalize their heritage vehicles, debuting the Renault 17 Electric Restomod Concept at the Paris Motor Show 2024.
Originally released in 1971, the Renault 17 was a stylish coupé with over 92,000 units produced. Designer Ora Ïto has reimagined the vehicle, merging classic aesthetics with modern technologies.
This restomod honors the Renault 17's legacy while delivering contemporary features, such as sleek headlamps and an all-electric 270-horsepower powertrain. Despite the enthusiasm generated, this concept is unlikely to go into production.
